The Theraplay Institute is now offering participants an opportunity to offset Level One registration fees by assisting with onsite set up and cleanup each day. Participants are expected to arrive an hour early and stay an hour after each training day to assist. Non-local residents can reduce their registration fee by 50%. No other discounts are applicable. Local residents willing to volunteer an additional 12 hours of administrative work prior to the training may be able to attend the training at no cost.

Learn how to introduce this amazing social emotional developmental program to your school! This training is designed for teachers and the professionals who support them—social workers, school counselors/psychologists, early childhood specialists and others.  Sunshine Circles can be used with children of any age, but are best known for pre-school/early years classrooms and special education settings.

Sunshine Circles have been getting great results in the districts in which they have been introduced!

  • Describe how nurturing and regulating physical connection can assist a child to feel calm and more organized in a group setting
  • Describe three techniques for managing resistance and problem situations in groups
  • List a variety of material and activities that are appropriate for the group Theraplay, a modality of play therapy
  • List three strategies for incorporating Theraplay in daily interactions with children in the classroom
